MGM has developed long term relationships with suppliers some of which were first established more than 10 years ago. These relationships are fair and sustainable and are monitored by independent auditors as well as directors of MGM. We only work with suppliers who are looking to make continual improvements to their working environment and in employment standards. Each factory has to prove that their members of staff have the tools, knowledge and experience to manufacture furniture to a consistently high standard. MGM also likes to see these skills being past on within the workforce so that production will continue for generations to come.				It is a policy of MGM to only use suppliers who pay wages in excess of someone’s basic needs, whose employees are free to form and join a trade union, where working hours are not excessive and where nobody under 16 is considered for employment. We also check the portfolio of our suppliers to ensure other work is ethical and that throughout the company there is not only concern for the environment but that any positive steps that can be taken are actively followed up. There is a direct link between a successful supplier and a prosperous community in which they are based. In many cases our suppliers are reliant on overseas sales and in recognition of this MGM have supported areas of the world hit by natural disasters, as well as education and community projects.
